Hello, I'm Len Kaplan. I want to offer the services of the Kaplan Wellness Center to help you improve the quality of your life. Are you overweight? Smoke too much? Have chronic pain? Abuse alcohol or drugs? Is your life very stressful? Marital problems? If the answer to any of the above is yes, I want to help you. I have been a board certified clinical hynotherapist since 1992, a status which cannot be achieved without an M.D. or PhD. A hypnotherapist uses hypnosis which is the state of profound mental and physical relaxation - allowing the mind to be open to the power of suggestion. The mind is two hundred times more open to suggestion in a profoundly relaxed state. What is focused concentration? Do you watch television, have you ever been absorbed in reading a good book - or have you ever missed an exit because you were daydreaming? Those are examples of focused concentration. I can help you harness that natural ability you have to focus to accomplish the 'new you'. Through guided imagery which will provide 'movies in your mind' you will see your life changed. If you are a smoker --- let me implant a picture in your mind of you without cigarettes. A newer healthier you. Is weight a problem? Have you lost contact with your body image? I can help you to gain self-esteem, self-confidence and a self-image --- you will clearly see the 'new you'. You don't need drugs to help achieve your life's goals. You have the power to make changes in your life. My wellness philosophy is that you have everything you need to change your life --- and I can help you to discover your own resources. |

I have been practicing hypnotherapy for about 12 years and have helped
hundreds of people. I spend time getting to know you, listening to the
areas in your life that you want to change. If I were to write a book
there would be four chapters: love, nurture, acceptance and approval.
I show you how to accomplish all four chapters! You might want to know how I came into this field of hypnotherapy --- I received my M.D. from Queens University of Belfast, North Ireland in 1962; I served my internship at New Britain General Hospital, New Britain, CT. I decided to branch out into the field of psychiatry and served as psychiatric resident at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, OK for one year before I was drafted and served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy as a Station Hospital Psychiatrist. Upon my return from the military I served the remaining two years of my psychiatric residency at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY finishing in 1969. I am a board eligible clinical psychiatrist. I have been in private practice, have worked with community mental health programs, have done individual and group therapy sessions. While in Ohio in 1989-1994 I assisted 3000 obese women with a medically supervised weight control program using a combination of techniques and products only available to the medical profession. Because of my psychiatric background I wanted to find out more about these women and to find new ways to help with their weight problem. It was at that time that I branched out into hypnotherapy; I have discovered that through hypnotherapy a longer lasting effect is produced, as it gives you the power over your life and its problems. I have never said "no" to anyone. I am always ready and willing to help. I can show you how to control your life. But the first step in getting help is to call me. |
